A POPULAR pigtail vendor from Valencia was one of three people killed between Friday night and yesterday, according to police reports.
Lanisford Harry, 45, the owner of a popular barbecued pigtail outlet in Valencia, was fatally stabbed on Friday night following an altercation with a customer, homicide detectives said.
According to police reports, Harry allegedly slapped the customer during a heated exchange between the duo around 6.40 p.m. on Friday.
The customer is said to have left the pigtail outlet following the slap, but returned a few hours later with a knife.
Harry was stabbed in his back and was rushed to the Sangre Grande Health Facility, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
In a separate incident, police yesterday discovered a decapitated corpse with gun shot wounds to the chest at Production Avenue, Sea Lots, around 7 a.m. yesterday.
Police were alerted to the body after residents claimed to have heard gun shots in the area on Friday night.
Up to press time, the body was still unidentified.
And in a third incident, another unidentified man was fatally shot in Trou Macaque in Laventille around 12 p.m. yesterday.
The man, who was shot several times about the body, was rushed to the Port of Spain General Hospital, where he is said to have succumbed to his injuries while undergoing emergency surgery.
And a church outing turned tragic in Toco yesterday, when 52-year-old Dassie Cattersingh is believed to have suffered a heart attack while at the beach.
Cattersingh was rushed to the Toco Health Facility by fellow churchgoers but died on her way there, reports said.
Police are continuing investigations into the incidents.
