The owner of a hotel that has often been raided by police in search of women living in Trinidad illegally, was shot twice while driving along the Solomon Hochoy Highway yesterday.

Larry Hughes, 43, of Bagna Trace, Chase Village, Chaguanas, was being treated at the Mt Hope Hospital last night.

Police said he was driving north along the highway when shots were fired from a car that pulled alongside.

The motive for the shooting is unknown. -South Bureau
