Guard kills robber

A security guard shot and killed a suspected thief on the compound of a quarry in Central Trinidad on Monday.

Police said shortly before 5 p.m., two armed, masked men attacked a supervisor at a ’sand pit’ located on the Caparo Valley Road.

A security guard shot one of the men, who later died at hospital. The second man escaped with nothing.

Police said they recovered a gun and ammunition. The dead man remained unidentified last evening.

Sgt Wayne Lawrence is spearheading investigations.

Not to good of a job by the security guard, he should of killed both of them. Hopefully the other one will try robbing again and meet his fate. Guess what I'm sure these people are in their twenties. Lost generation of hoodlums. Good riddance.
