The team of officers led by ASP Don Lezama, acting on a tip off went to a Couva bar just after 3 p.m. yesterday where they nabbed the men.
All four were said to be in their mid-twenties. Police said they recovered two guns during the raid.
One of the guns, a nine millimetre, was identified as being among the 15 firearms stolen from the Mi 5 security firm.
According to police, at around 3.15 p.m. on Sunday, two men entered the Mi 5 security firm at 40 Alfredo Street.
One of the men was wearing the uniform of a police officer, the other dressed in the company’s uniform, told the guard on duty that he came to ’drop off something’, and needed to get behind the counter.
When she opened the door, and allowed the men in, it was then one of them pulled out a gun, placed it to her head and announced a hold-up, police said.
One of the intruders struck her in the mouth with the butt of the gun, knocking out a tooth, before forcing her onto the ground and duct-taping her feet and hands, investigators added.
Both men then proceeded to open the metal box which contained the firearms and escaped in a waiting vehicle with 13 nine millimetre pistols, a .357 revolver and a shotgun.
