Manning heads to London

Prime Minister Patrick Manning departed Trinidad and Tobago yesterday for London, England, and is expected to return on Sunday.

Government Senator Dr Lenny Saith will carry out the duties of Prime Minister in Manning’s absence.

Manning is scheduled to meet with Commonwealth Secretary General Kamalesh Sharma and members of the Commonwealth Secretariat in London.

His meeting with Sharma is part of the continuing preparation for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) on November 26-29.
