Cops hunt killer
Man shot in back of head

Police are now hunting for a suspect in the Wednesday night murder of a Maloney man.

Police said Sean Edwards, 20, was standing in his yard at Maloney Settlement, D’Abadie, when a man dressed in black clothing ran up and shot him in the back of the head.

Edwards was taken to the Arima Health Facility were he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Investigators are yet to uncover a motive for the killing.

His killing brought the murder toll for the year so far to 462.

In an unrelated story, two teenage suspects have been arrested for the murder on Monday of Dillon Griffith.

Necoro Bartholomew, 17, and Lorenzo Leigh Maynard, 19, appeared in the Tunapuna Magistrates’ Court yesterday, charged with killing 18-year-old Griffith.

Police reports indicated that the three men were involved in a scuffle on Monday afternoon, during which Griffith was fatally stabbed.

Bartholomew and Maynard are set to reappear in court on November 30.
