A $2million abomination

In the midst of two recent kidnappings which resulted in the shooting deaths of three young men at the hands of police officers, in the midst of children (one of whom is Kelly Ann Drayton, afflicted with biliary atresia, a congenital absence or closure of the ducts that drain bile from the liver) in desperate need of funds to finance life-saving medical procedures and in the midst of homeless persons who will miraculously disappear from the streets of Port of Spain during the CHOGM, Sports Minister Gary Hunt announces to the nation that the cost of an oversized red, white and black flag positioned within the precincts of the Hasely Crawford National Stadium is two million dollars!

Was that expenditure authorised by the Ministry of Finance? Were my tax dollars used to purchase this abomination? Does this mean that this purchase was made on my behalf?

I cannot help but ask the following-who are the real bandits in Trinidad and Tobago?

 John Henry
