Mr Gary Hunt wants to know what is the fuss over the $2 million flag. The fuss, dear Minister, is that the Government is spending money badly. Two million dollars for a flag, but no money to send our cricket team to India?
We fuss after your party excoriated the United National Congress for misuse of funds. It is quite clear that they spent the little money we had then much better than your government is spending today’s billions.
It is particularly galling, even to your supporters, that the UNC did more with $14-a-barrel oil than you all are doing with the astronomical oil price from which you benefitted. That flag is a testimony to your profligacy. That is the fuss; apart from those little white lies that you told, to obfuscate the issue and fool the ’misinformed’ public.
