THERE will be very keen interest among the Union Park Turf Club (UPTC) and the Betting Levy Board (BLB), with the racing debut of four out of their 20 importation horses making their racing debut in Saturday’s curtain event, the 1,000-metre Imported Two-Year-Old and over Maidens and West Indian-Bred Two-year-olds and over maidens at Santa Rosa Park, Arima.

These horses were sold through public and private auction last year and this year by two racing interest groups.

The quartet are Vancy, a Van Nistelrooy filly that breezed 10.1 in April sales, was sold by UPTC and is conditioned by Irvin Hay. The other juvenile is Jackpot Delight , who came as a yearling, and is by Indy King - the sire of Mission King. This youngster was bred at Adena Springs by Frank Stronach. He is owned by Lap Kwang, who is also the owner of last year’s yearling sales topper, Easy Ahead.

This colt is by Snow Ridge and is conditioned by Derek Mosca. The last of the quartet is Silver Surfer, trained by Jack Debideen. This grey, who has been going well for time and was sold by the BLB.
