Jabloteh set up Petrotrin clash

scored double: Marvin Oliver

Defending Toyota Classic champions San Juan Jabloteh thrashed Super League outfit Defence Force 5-0 on Saturday to set up a quarter-final meeting against United Petrotrin from 6 p.m. today at Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella.

In today’s round of matches, Jabloteh play United Petrotrin, Defence Force go up against Joe Public, and Ma Pau SC tackle W Connection.

In the other quarter-final, St Ann’s Rangers clash with 1976 Phoenix tomorrow.

Jabloteh were never in trouble on Saturday as they made light work of their Super League opponents at Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar. Noel Williams and Marvin Oliver each registered a double, before Travis Mulraine wrapped up the handful of goals for Jabloteh.

In the second clash at the Malabar venue, Defence Force’s Digicel Pro League outfit whipped T&TEC 3-0 to advance to today’s quarter-final round versus Joe Public.

Sean Narcis, Jerwyn Balthazar and Kevon Carter scored for Defence Force in the first half as the Pro League clubs continue to show superiority over their Super League rivals.
