Ce’cile Charlton has been a staple on the international dancehall and reggae market since her debut in the late nineties. The Jamaican-born artiste’s sultry singing has kept her in the spotlight and she’s been keeping busy with hosting duties on Tempo. She’s currently touring to promote her latest album Waiting. 1. What quality do you like most in women?

I’m assuming you mean someone I would hang out with, go to the clubs with and be friends with in general. In that case, I like stylish people. I think my friends should also look good. I like my whole crew to have style. Apart from that, the qualities I like are honesty - I don’t like hypocrites and I usually don’t like to be too close to women who like the same type of men as me.

2. Your happiest moment?

I don’t have one particular moment. I am happiest when I just did a good show or when I get a nice publishing cheque or when I am kissed by someone I find extremely sexy.

3. Your secret fear?

That I will die in a plane or car crash.

4. Which living person do you admire most?

Madonna.

5. What quality do you value most in your friends both male or female?

I can’t narrow that down to one. I like honesty, class, style. Generally, I like people confident enough to be humble.

6. What is your greatest extravagance?

High heels and designer jeans.

7. The place you would like to visit before you die?

Dubai.

8. What is your favourite journey?

Any journey that involves music, friends or a hot guy is a favourite journey.

9. How would you like to die?

Do I have to? Well, if I do - in my sleep with no pain.

10. What is your current state of mind?

Right now, I feel blessed. I just landed from Europe. Everytime I get off a plane, I feel great.

11. What is the trait you most deplore in others?

I don’t like liars.

12. What is your greatest joy?

Music, writing music

13. What is your biggest turn on in a man?

I like when a man is really into me. It’s all about the way he looks at me. Every girl knows that look and you know when someone is really into you. To me that is the sexiest thing.

14. When you die who or what do you want to come back as?

What’s with all this dying? I guess if I had to come back, I’d do so as a cat.

15. What is your lowest depth of misery?

I don’t have any. I tend to compare and contrast. I give myself a small window to have self pity then I start comparing myself to the less fortunate. That usually puts things in perspective for me.

16. What is your pet peeve?

Lying.

17. What do you get complimented most about

My smile, legs, bust (but usually after people see me in person). I’m told I look so much better in person.

18. When was the last time you cried?

Two days ago. I was having chronic back pains, caused from a pinched nerve caused from high heels.

19. What was the first thing you did this morning?

Checked my Blackberry.

20. What do you consider your most cherished virtue?

Honesty.

21. If you had one personal wish (which you alone can benefit from hence world peace etc not applicable) what would it be?

That I would find complete inner happiness.
