Better late than never
Isn’t it ironic that flooding in the Petit Valley area and along the East-West Corridor, would have occurred just days before and after Cabinet approved $750 million to deal with flood alleviation and drainage?
Surely, this could have been done ten months ago if anyone in authority had foresight. Then the move would have been a preventative measure rather than a cure.
We have been blessed with a less-than-serious rainy/hurricane season so far this year, but this senseless “God is a Trini” attitude that so many seem to live by is probably one of the reasons why nothing is being done until now.
What else can we do but be thankful for small mercies and say “better late than never”.
