Boost for Souththe Prime Minister must be commended for the establishment of a UWI campus in Debe, notwithstanding the protestations of the ill-willed and bankrupt PNM. When one considers that the deep South as far as Cedros now has a chance at tertiary education as opposed to the snowball's chance in hell they had previously, one wonders what consultation the Opposition wanted. If we are to judge from the disenfranchisement of the people of Biche from the prolonged closure of the Biche High School, then the Government will live and the Opposition will be damned for eternity as the PNM is incapable of this magnanimity. This campus will mean a lot for the economy of nearby districts in the same way that UWI's St Augustine campus has made the east a mecca for education, housing and commerce. Lystra Marajh Glencoe |
