Bring on the dog bill
It is time the critics of the Dangerous Dog Act wake up and smell the horror. The latest mauling to death of an 82-year-old grandmother is testimony that such legislation is necessary.
The Attorney General has been very instrumental in piloting and guiding this legislation as a measure to protect people from the senseless attacks by dangerous dogs. In my opinion, those against this law are selfish and misguided. The fact of the matter is that protection of human life should be given priority.
While the AG has agreed to address the concerns raised by various groups, he also gave the assurance that the act will be enforced. As a responsible dog owner, I am in full support of the implementation and enforcement of this act.
