ToolsCEPEP teams quick to respondI would like to formally thank the CEPEP Company Ltd for their ongoing assistance with the clean-up after the horrific devastation that was caused by the rain on Saturday morning. I must admit it was a shocking sight waking up that morning and seeing the extent of the floods. Community-based Environmental Protection and Enhancement Programme (CEPEP) workers definitely were the hope in the midst of dismal despair. The presence of the CEPEP teams was seen throughout flood-hit areas. I really appreciate their shared and honest determination to assist residents in any way they could. Nothing could have replaced what I felt when I saw over 300 workers generously giving their time to assist in the clean-up. As if CEPEP teams lending their hands were not enough, they brought with them heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks and water trucks, just to name a few. Debris and slush were removed, roads were cleared and washed, cars and furniture were moved. Thank you, CEPEP; you were a beacon of light in the middle of darkness, and you are providing continuous support not only to me but my neighbours. I want to commend the board of directors and management of the CEPEP Company Ltd for their quick dispatch of crews and their constant presence. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
