Can we affordall this spending?

From the presentation of the budget up to the typing of this letter I have been paying close attention to the actions of this Government. And I must ask if they are all on the same page due to the many contradicting actions and statements from them.

First off Finance Minister Larry Howai has been stating deficits in the budget are expected until 2016 at which time he expects a balanced budget.

Whether a balance occurs or not this country would have a record of seven consecutive deficit budgets. As a layman I ask, can this country afford this? Notwithstanding the aforementioned I must include in my questions, why is the AG seeking $1.3 billion to settle arbitration hearings?

Am I missing something? Increase in premium gas for the everyday driver is an unexpected adjustment for us, I will not comment on the most ridiculous of statements made by the PM concerning premium gas usage. Soon to follow is the same for super.

Farmers are still complaining of the fact that the present policies in place concerning them favour importing food that is grown or can be grown locally. The millions squandered through CLICO, the millions being paid courtesy taxpayers for the handling of said matter.

I would like Mr Howai to closely monitor the spending of his fellow ministers because based on their most recent actions the deficit would appear to be not only financial.

I am just a layman seeking clarity on my future. RIP Richie Rivers!
