Christmas wish for Siparia: No mud
We the people of Alta Gracia Trace, De Gannes Village, Siparia, continue to suffer for more than 25 years. Mud roads, mud and more mud.
We must cover our shoes with plastic bags on a daily basis. Numerous complaints to Siparia County Council to Siparia Regional Corporation went unanswered.
Will there be another change of name before we get a little red gravel and oil sand or cold mix, as everyone who lives around Alta Gracia Trace and environs will help in applying?
Are we not human as other people in other areas?
Whenever we go to the corporation we are told material coming tomorrow. It’s always tomorrow and up to now tomorrow has not reached.
At Syne Village, Penal near PowerGen there is material just stacked and nothing doing.
In the 25 years and more we got half load of sand and half load of gravel and eight bags of cement; that’s all.
We are asking our Prime Minister who is also the MP for Siparia the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissesser to come and see what the residents of this area have to endure for this Christmas season and straight into the new year.
Can we have a mud-free Christmas for the first time since the backhoe never reaches. It is always coming.
