Cool it, please

I write hoping that some members of the Government will read this and heed my simple advice.

I wish to urge the Government to tone it down. The cacophony that emanates from officialdom does not augur well for the country. The bellicose stance by the Government on many issues is uncalled for. The Government need not respond to everything all the time. Please let some issues slide. You will be judged by your good works.

Every week our senses are assaulted by the almost orchestrated venomous attacks on members of the public who may have a different opinion on issues.

This is a democracy and people should feel free to say how they feel. Even if they need to be corrected there is no need to be pejorative and even malign the person's character. We are heading down a slippery slope. I see hints of fascism. Government officials are assassinating people verbally. Tone it down. Our children are listening. You are our Government.

Always remember, you can catch more flies with a teaspoon of honey than with a jar of vinegar!
