Day of Resistance?

it wasn’t until I read Saturday’s Express Opinion and a couple letters on that day, I came to understand the financial arrangements between the Treasury and Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Organisation (TUCO) .
I too, thought it was unfair that the Calypso Monarch receives a first prize of $1 million, while soca and chutney champions receive twice as much until I read the details.
Since TUCO president Lutalo Masimba (Brother Resistance) considers the assistance given by Government to be an “embarrassment”, to our citizens and the party in power, perhaps Mr Masimba should have strongly contemplated dedicating Carnival Sunday, “A Day of Resistance”.
