Demand real plans, not empty promises
As we all know, politicians, when they want you to vote for them, travel the length and breadth of the country making promises which they cannot keep, and in some instances have no intention of keeping. They have been fooling us up for many years and it is time for this foolishness to stop.
As an example the East-West corridor, Laventille, Morvant etc, should somehow demand that the parties which are soliciting their votes articulate what their plans are for these areas, and this should be done now, and not in the heat of an election campaign, which we all know is rum, roti, lies, more lies, with some racial undertones, but all in all, nothing that will be of any benefit to you the voter.
One must remember that the people put forward for voters to support are the problem, not the solution, and if the voter goes ahead in the same way that has kept Laventille, Morvant and the corridor marginalised (to quote Marlene) there will be no change.
