The Diego Martin West Women’s League, under the chairmanship of former local government representative Mrs Susan Hong, endorses Member of Parliament, the Honourable Dr Keith Christopher Rowley for a second term as political leader of the People’s National Movement (PNM).
Dr Rowley has successfully contested six general elections in the constituency of Diego Martin West, which he represents well in Parliament. He was instrumental in amending the movement’s constitution to allow for one-man, one-vote, which gives all party members the opportunity to have a say in who should run their party’s affairs.
He piloted the PNM through three favourable election outcomes in 2013—the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) election, successfully managed by the Tobago PNM (12-0); the local government election (winning eight of the 14 corporations); and the St Joseph by-election (wresting the seat from the People’s Partnership).
He has also repeatedly exposed the ills of a deeply corrupt and dysfunctional UNC/COP (United National Congress/Congress of the People) Government while reviving hope in all right-thinking citizens that integrity and morality are not a thing of the past.
The Diego Martin West Women’s League therefore has no hesitation in standing firmly behind Dr Keith Rowley as the leader of the People’s National Movement. His track record speaks for itself.
