ToolsDiscourage those foolish fireworksA full page advertisement in the newspapers advising of a "Boxing Day Sale" of fireworks has prompted me to ask: What useful purpose does fireworks serve? The answer: None! Besides being a drain on the precious foreign reserves of the country, they are a nuisance to neighbourhoods, pets and the elderly plus there's the danger aspect when in the wrong hands. Adding to this is the setting up of makeshift tent outlets at high traffic locations throughout the country only adding to the horrific traffic congestion motorists suffer on a daily basis.
