Don't re-elect a govt that reneged on promises

Integrity and honesty may not seem to be integral to your government's current portfolio.

However, it emmanated from your pulse as you quoted the Bible and the Bhagvad Gita during your campaign for the Prime Ministership of Trinidad and Tobago. No one will re-elect a government that has reneged on its promises.

Citizens have the right to a functional democracy. The Highway Re-route Movement has worked tirelessly to provide documents on its stance and has got to the point of an imminent court hearing. Why would you start work on a project before the court makes its final decision? Are we Trinis a bit uncultured and uneducated? Do we not know what is good for our own good? Is this how you plan to continue to view us? Incidentally, you have a very literate population and in Debe too!

So please halt work on the Debe to Mon Desir segment of the highway as you promised. The rest of the work can continue. Make a statement to us. Enfold us with the sensitivity of a mother and grandmother.
