Drop propaganda

After almost three years in office, is the Government getting it right?

The problems in health care remain the same, the crime problem remains the same, traffic and potholes are the same as before.

Court matters continue to crawl as Legal Aid does not seem to be an asset and the cost of living is still very high. The distribution of houses still involves a tedious wait and whenever this is eventually done, it seems a yagna must be held in the media spotlight. The great pipe layer was brought back and still people can't get water.

Potholes remain long enough to become hazardous to life, and then they are poorly repaired.

Notwithstanding the Hoops For Life initiative and the general godfather role of successive governments, criminals continue to flex their muscles. The authorities still think they can replace a gun in the hands of a criminal with a ball or wheelbarrow, refusing to admit that it's only a few who reform and only after a very long jail term. Government wants to look good to the international community at the expense of its own citizens.

We should look to build on the favourable ratings with the choice of President, and have citizens actually experience a difference in the delivery of services and not depend on propaganda.
