Drug ban making matters worse

I have a solution to reduce the high murder rate in this country which a lot of people will not agree with. Consider the legalisation of drugs (like in Colorado) where a small quantity can be purchased by adults.

Years ago the prohibition of alcohol in the United States created gang leaders like Al Capone. Gang murders were rampant. That stopped when they legalised alcohol. The same principle is applicable with the legality of drugs.

Just as the government cannot ban the sale of cigarettes which is harmful, they should not ban the sale of drugs. Their contribution should be to advise the population of the hazards of drugs, but not dictate whether or not they can use it.
