Dust, mud everywhere
Who’s going to tell George Bovell III and his coach, Anil Roberts, that for all their good intentions to make Couva a sports tourism village, they are currently earning the displeasure of residents who use the main road leading to the Ato Boldon Stadium?
Trucks from the construction site are leaving huge chunks of mud from their tyres on the road surface, which turns to slimy goo when rain falls, and then clouds of dust when the sun shines—both of which adversely affect regular fitness buffs who visit the stadium daily.
All it would take is a huge bellow from Uncle Anil, such as: W-H-A-A-A-T! and the project foreman will jump into action and do the correct thing, like have the road pressure-washed once or twice a week, or employ a poor resident to hose down the truck tyres as they exit the construction site.
So please, Mr Minister and Mr Bovell, have a heart for us poor users of the Ato Boldon Stadium and save us a lungful of dust and grime.
