ToolsFare hike not fairThe people of "Diego" have not been told why the fare for short drops has gone from three dollars to four dollars. Why weren't we notified in advance? Who are the authorities to address this situation? This is supposed to be a democracy where the laws of the land should prevent such "criminal" activities. If this situation is not dealt with it can lead to further increases, which can affect this country's economy negatively. Transportation is a staple for most people who can't afford a vehicle. There is a need for fare regulation. The Diego Martin stretch is not a long winding road, so why has the fare gone to four dollars, when transport to Port of Spain costs only five dollars?
