File criminal charges now
A MAN gets a high-paying job at the Airports Authority based on his tendering a false document. He accepted over $40,000 per month from the State for many, many months. His scam is uncovered and he is fired. Shouldn’t he be facing a Fraud Squad investigation? Instead we hear that “following his resignation, he informed the AATT that he had 45 days’ vacation leave and requested that he be paid for them”. But hear the kicker, “Management at the AATT gave the undertaking that his claim would be looked at.” Shouldn’t management be trying to recover all the monies paid to this man?
Even after it’s proven that the man got the job under false pretences, we are still planning to pay him more instead of bringing criminal charges? Only in Trinidad!
