ToolsGive way to the 'President'Is the title President of Trinidad and Tobago so weak that it must always be supported by some other subsidiary designation as in President "Justice" Carmona or fifth President, "Senior Counsel" Anthony Carmona or, as before, President "Prof" Max Richards? Then again, President Carmona no longer sits on the bench just as Herbert Volney who on a constituency brochure is labelled as "Justice" Herbert Volney. Let the title "President'' stand on its all encompassing power, glory and magnificence. I suggest we adopt the American model of using only the highest sobriquet and not follow the British model of stringing out all degrees and sobriquets. Haydn Murray via e-mail |
