Giving with one hand and taking with the other

NOW that we have heard the budget, could someone from the jokey People's Partnership tell me what that pre-budget rally was really about? Steups!

People jumped for joy when they heard that VAT was removed from many items. I sat quietly and said to myself, wait for it, wait for it; when somebody gives with one hand, chances are that one will take back with the other.

Why didn't we hear about the gas increase at the rally? Why wasn't that mentioned at the rum and roti celebrations? Were we being fattened for the kill? Are we going to see an increase in taxi fares or will we experience that increase somewhere else? Even if a small percentage of persons use premium gas, an excuse is bound to be made for a hike in delivery of a product or service.

For the love of God stop the PR work. You might be able to fool some people all the time but many others and even your own supporters are not impressed with a lot of the foolishness that is going on.

Last Wednesday, the country witnessed an embarrassing piece of political crap on the TV. I thought that those puppets were in a rumshop. What was the purpose of that discussion? Imagine, I chose to watch reruns of "Keeping up with the Kardashians" instead of listening to big hard back men sounding as if they were liming by a hawk and spit bar.
