Govt giving offensive excuses

It has been said, by those in the know, that the only difference between the present Government and the last is that this one is better at hiding corruption.

I beg to disagree—it can't seem to hide anything. But while previous scandals may have been blamed on inexperience, bad advice or faulty judgment, the present controversy is of an entirely different nature.

To all appearances it would seem that senior legal luminaries in the administration conspired to subvert the course of the very justice they were sworn to uphold.

The excuses given are offensive to the intelligence of the population, who are justifiably upset by this crude attempt to protect friends and financiers.

No one is fooled for a moment and I suspect there will be consequences arising from this imbroglio.
