Greed at work
IT is remarkable or depressing depending on your point of view, that in the 21st century the West Indies have managed, according to Tony Cozier (Sunday Express, January 26), only two wins against India’s nine and two against England’s 17, that for 15 years between 1980 and 1995, according to the same Tony Cozier, West Indies never lost a series.
So what do these statistics say other than to remind us of the cyclical nature of all human endeavours? Australia, England and India are simply displaying greed and shortsightedness which latter word is synonymous with stupidity. They must not be allowed to destroy the game.
