Griffith on the right path

I empathise with the Minister of National Security on the issue of murders. I reside in one of the so called “hot spots” and through my observations I believe there is little  anyone can do about those ignorant young men who choose to murder each other.

A great majority of murders are due to the various gangs fighting for “turf”. The police cannot be everywhere at the same time, but they can, however, be placed at strategic points.

From what I am hearing, the minister is revising a plan to get rid of the multiple gangs throughout the country. Once he gets rid of these gangs, half of the problem will be solved.

Another area that needs urgent attention is the question of how and who is responsible for the weapons being circulated to these young men, because without the weapons, several lives will be saved.

Minister Griffith has a military background and is considered one of the best men for the position of National Security Minister, so we need to support him rather than criticise his actions.

With time, he will resolve the actions of these senseless killings and hopefully this country could return to the peaceful island it once was.
