Himself trying himself, Spoiler-style

Many years ago, the Mighty Spoiler wrote a calypso classic, "Magistrate Try Himself", in which a magistrate is charged for speeding and has to try himself, so he looks in a mirror and during the court proceedings tells himself that "de policeman lyin'" and then had to charge himself with "contempt of court".

Fast forward to 2013 where we have a former FIFA vice president-turned-politician, and now Minister of National Security, going to investigate himself in what is now called the Flying Squad fiasco.

If we follow the lyrics of Spoiler's calypso, the magistrate eventually finds himself guilty and gives himself five years to pay the fine. So "in the fullness of time," to quote a popular phrase of today, whenever that is, we may get the true story.
