ToolsHold your head high, GeorgeAgain, I am shocked at the reaction of many citizens to George Bovell III's Olympic performance. I would like to see just one of those critics represent Trinidad and Tobago at just one of the upcoming Olympic Games. Don't knock the man, especially if you can do no better. He gave it his all; he trained tirelessly for years for that one moment. So what if he did not win a medal? He's an excellent swimmer and an even better human being than any of his critics could ever be. So let us be considerate of the man's feelings, please, T&T. Let us for once not think of ourselves but of our fellow human beings. George Bovell III, I apologise on behalf of those citizens who may have made you feel as though you were a disappointment or inade- quate. You most certainly are not. We love you and are most proud. Come back home with your head held high, boy. Jason Romero Maraval |
