ToolsHow did Ish, Steve get info?WatchING the aloof expression on AG Anand Ramlogan's face and his apparent nonchalance when asked by a reporter about how he thought Ish Galbaransingh and Steve Ferguson came to know about the early proclamation of Section 34, left me with no doubt that there is still a lot to be uncovered about this frightening episode. What amazes me is there isn't an investigation to find out exactly who supplied the information, or the other ways he mentioned that Ish and Steve could have found out. Doesn't he want to know exactly what happened, whether anyone was truly culpable or not? This situation is being brushed away too quickly as are all the others, as if this Government doesn't understand that they owe it to the public to explain when things of this grave nature happen. How can we expect them to inform us when another situation occurs that threatens the bedrock of our democracy? We already had the unwarranted State of Emergency ostensibly to avert some Colombian drug lord from shooting up the place. Then there was the failed arrest of "gang" members. I could go on and on but it would take me days to complete. Our "Honourable" Attorney General and many others in that pick-up party have a lot to answer for. It's just a matter of time before this charade is over. Leslie Callender via e-mail |
