Ian getting the job done not begging for votes
For the Chaguanas West by-election, a large portion of the constituents voted for Jack Warner on the basis that he sought the needs of the people and therefore, they were willing to support him whether he was in or out of the Government.
The reality is that now he is out of the Government, he struggles to attend to the needs of his constituents.
Now that we have yet another by-election in St Joseph, it’s their time to choose a new representative.
Ian, not being in Government has proven to be a greater power than even Mr Warner at his peak. Mr Alleyne is not going around the constituency begging for votes, but he is actually listening to the issues within the constituency and putting measures in place almost instantaneously to bring relief to them.
In my view, Mr Alleyne has the right approach which should be followed for greater development in T&T to occur.
