I am still sad and worried about this killing of the goats at the sides of the Tarouba Link Road on the way to Palmyra Village near San Fernando.
I think it is not at all appropriate for children and even adults to see them being killed.
Last year in June, I sent a letter to the editor about the goats sold in stalls, and the Chairman of the Princes Town Regional Corporation said the stalls were illegal and had to be moved to public markets. The Public Health Inspectors also said it was unclean to sell meat there. But nothing was ever done. I am an animal lover but I do not have a problem with people eating what they like, although it doesn’t look right with seeing goats being killed and hung up on ropes. This time I hope more people will understand what I am trying to say.
My father told me if I believe in something, I must not give up.
