Let the bond with Cuba strengthen

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the Republic of Cuba, I convey to you my warmest greetings.

On behalf of the Cuban Government and people, I reiterate the deep appreciation for the noble gesture of your country to establish diplomatic ties with Cuba on December 8, 1972, which contributed decisively to thwart the isolation of our nation.

In this occasion, I ratify to you the invariable willingness to continue strengthening the bonds of brotherhood that have characterised the relations between our two countries over the past four decades.
