Look to the hills

The Diego Martin Regional Corporation was on television recently making a big show of doing some brush cutting and cleaning some drains. This is admirable, but it is just putting a plaster on a wound—and the wound is the burning of the hills that surround the area and the total lack of trees.

While the cleaning of the drains will help, the floods are still going to come, so I would suggest the corporation try to solve this problem by adopting a long-range view and start planting some trees.
