Lots of job options for POS residents

WHILE the residents of East Port of Spain complain about the "pittance" being offered to them for a few hours work, I would like to advise most of them that there are alternative jobs available out there.

Virtually every retail store that I visit, especially fast food outlets, has signs on doors/windows advertising job vacancies.

I am also aware that in the construction sector, as slow as things may be, there remains a shortage of unskilled labour to complete various tasks.

These alternative job opportunities should be explored by these people to secure the income to feed their families and pay their bills.

There is really no need for them to be dependent on a government only intent on securing political patronage and not their well-being. That is, unless their intent was really to be paid without doing meaningful work.
