Maybe political marriage don’t agree with the UNC
The Prime Minister said she did not lose. She did not win either.
It is like saying the glass is half full, not half empty.
The novelty of a female leader is no more. Kamla Persad-Bissessar is no Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meir or Indira Gandhi.
The Congress of the People (COP) is dead, cremated and ashes dispersed in the Gulf of Paria.
The Independent Liberal Party (ILP) is strong only in Chaguanas— all dog bad in their yard. They are a new party and can only improve.
However, you analyse it the People’s National Movement (PNM) won the local government elections.
Prior to the Chaguanas by-election a certain United National Congress (UNC) member got married.
We all know what happened next. Before this one another did the same.
The results are there for all to see. Maybe marriage, political or otherwise, does not agree with the UNC.
These results gravely question the UNC’s leadership. Look at the options. Who will you put? Rambachan? Moonilal?
Forget your “maha guru Bas’’, he said never left politics and look what is going on.
You need a fresh mandate from the people. You say you are not afraid.
Leaders do not threaten to fire people who do not perform. They inspire, motivate and coach them.
Do what is right because it is right. Call general elections now!
