Normal day

After one hour of heavy rain this week, half of Port of Spain was under flood waters.

Businesses were shut down early, while commuters and pedestrians scrambled for safety and transport out of the city. How many times have we seen this grim spectacle over the past several years?

Endless promises in the past to alleviate this perennial problem. What a shame! Unless the earth stops rotating on its axis, we may just need to call it another normal day in the life of this country.
