Our children need heroes

I really wish there was a Justice League or Avengers or any other super hero group to protect the children of this nation from these evil monsters out there.
Too many of them are being abused either sexually or in any other physical way by the people who are supposed to protect them such as their parents, aunts or uncles, or any adult that they trust. To make this even worse it is often over- looked by other relatives or neighbours who know what is taking place and only when a child dies or is seriously injured then you hear all the stories coming out about how badly the child was treated before.
If you are not part of the solution then you are surely part of the problem. You are just as bad as these evil people committing these injustices.
To the rest of T&T and the world by extension, please let us not wait until a next child dies for everyone to take interest and then after a couple of weeks, when it is no longer headline news, everyone goes back to their regular lives leaving the hundreds of other kids that are still alive and are being abused on a daily basis to fend for themselves. Let us be their “ heroes “ so that they can live and grow up to be doctors, lawyers, firefighters etc so that they will end up being someone else’s hero too. Nigel Waterman
