ToolsPull up the pantsI write to show my support for the officials at the zoo who decided to place a ban on the ridiculous "sagging pants" fad. It is repulsive and disheartening to see our young men lose pride in their appearance and idolise the idiotic rap stars they see on TV. What is really going on with our youths? They are spiralling out of control and little issues like these are the roots of the problem that plague our young society. I recall that the Attorney General mentioned this fad and the fact that many states in the US have banned this outlandish fashion statement. I also remember Mr Warner, at some point, stating that there were going to be laws against such indecent exposure. I would like to call on the authorities to move to pass laws against sagging pants. It is upsetting to the stomach when we have to walk the roads with our families and see young men parading all over the streets with their pants to their knees and tattered boxer shorts on display. I believe this amounts to indecent exposure. We have been far too lenient. Martin Grover Arouca |
