Putting brakes on bad lawyers

Newly appointed head of the Law Association Seenath Jairam's recent announcement that the association is looking to go after delinquent attorneys is most welcome as this move can only improve the public's perception of attorneys.

Mr Jairam as head of the association should also address the public perception that the fees attorneys charge are pulled out of a hat and no explanation is owed to the client as to how the figure is arrived at, whilst the customer (client) must pay win, lose or draw.

Legal fees rank even higher than medical fees in the mystery as to how they are derived.
