ToolsRed, white and blackI am so very proud, humbled by the community of brotherhood aiding each other during the flood disaster witnessed by so many of us helping each other. Friends, family, and strangers alike, working as one caring for the other, we are truly a nation "where every creed and race" rise up in defence of our sweet, sweet, T&T. What I witnessed at La Hourquette road, Glencoe, was a rainbow of colours united under the red, white, and black. Citizens from the east, central and south Trinidad were in the west serving their patriotic, civic and humanitarian call to duty to help our citizenry in need. I received my 50th anniversary gift on that day, as we won gold at the Olympics while our nation was tested "under water'' of adversity, a smile of optimism overcame me, because we the people "united we stand" earned "gold'' for God, duty, and country. Evidently, the red, white, and black is exemplary. Brian Stone via- e-mail |
