ToolsSelfish Trinis continue to give the country a bad nameIt is indeed a sad thing to know that there are Trinidadians out there who have absolutely no respect or regard for the image of our country. How much longer will we tolerate being talked about negatively in an international forum? Nicki Minaj, one of the biggest superstars of this era, chose to come back here. Back to Trinidad. Her homeland. To shoot a music video and the front page of the Express reads "TRINI TRICKS MINAJ". No one can imagine the shock and horror that rippled through my body when I read this. I am absolutely terrified to see what CNN or BBC has to say about this. Did that selfish individual think for one second the effect that his actions would have on the image of this country? Trinis, how many times are we going to embarrass our own? How many times are we going to bring disrepute to ourselves? How long are we going encourage people to write negative articles about why visitors should not visit Trinidad?
