Someone can explode over scratch bombs
I am afraid that we as a society are heading downhill fast, especially where respect, tolerance and discipline are concerned. This is especially true around this time of year when fireworks and scratch bombs are in high use.
It seems that some parents care not where or how their children use these devices. But the practice terrifies and traumatises animals and old persons cower in their houses, afraid to even venture outside their homes, while little children scream and jump at each explosion.
While I would not advocate for a ban on these products as yet, it would be good if the company that imports them put out adverts on their responsible use.
Unfortunately the police are powerless to stop this menace as they can merely warn and not really arrest. It seems that the time where right thinking citizens will have to take justice into their own hands is fast approaching.
Gone are the days when youths would know that their neighbour is elderly or may have young kids and they would perhaps use one or two or none at all, for fear of recrimination from their parents or said neighbour. Now they go overboard because the parents give them money to purchase and even encourage the use of these “bombs”.
I would hate to think that some person runs amok and takes the law into their own hands because of the insensitivity of the users of these products. The problem here is that the law is heavily weighed to protect the wrong-doers and not the person who has the discipline to not retaliate until they cannot take it any longer.
