The Papourie Road missing link
The Golconda to Debe segment of the highway extension to Pt Fortin is about to open.
As such, I take pride in commending the stakeholders for making my dreams a reality. However, there is one major component that is missing. I live on Papourie Road, Diamond Village which is the main thoroughfare linking the Siparia Erin Road to Princes Town and the multiplicity of villages in between. At this present time, the Papourie Road is closed to facilitate the construction of a bridge over the new highway.
There are times when our Prime Minister and her security detail pass through Papourie Road to get to her residence in Philippine, as she herself faces the overbearing inconvenience one experiences on a daily basis, and herein lies my observation. In my humble opinion, there should be ramps to facilitate exit and egress to and from the Papourie Road and the new highway. In that way the bottleneck on the M2 Tasker Road, the highway link road and Papourie Road would be cleared up. At the same time it would not be necessary for drivers on Papourie Road to travel to Debe or Golconda in order to access the highway.
I do hope that the powers-that-be will take the initiative to remedy this oversight.
